Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22–23
Resurrection Sunday is not only about what happened to Jesus, Yes he died for our sin and it’s the greatest love story ever, but it is about what the resurrection reveals about God. It reveals that God is faithful. Not occasionally faithful. Not conveniently faithful. Not only faithful when life is easy and prayers are answered quickly.
But consistently, deeply, unshakably faithful.
That is what the cross reveals.
That is what the grave reveals.
And that is what the resurrection settles forever.
Because when everything looked over,
when hope looked buried,
when the disciples were confused,
when heaven seemed silent,
when grief was louder than expectation God was still faithful!
Pastor Johnathan said on Sunday to keep the faith and even in church I turned to my sister and asked: “Does the faith even know we’re keeping it.?” Let’s just be honest, life will always have its ups and downs.
Maybe this Resurrection season is not hitting you in a light, celebratory way.
Maybe your faith has been tested.
Maybe your heart has been tired.
Maybe your prayers have felt delayed.
Maybe you are carrying disappointment you have not fully processed.
Maybe you are in a season where God feels quieter than you expected.
But let me remind you and myself that God is in the middle of it.
He is still faithful.
Faithful when you are strong.
Faithful when you are tired.
Faithful when your worship is loud.
Faithful when your prayer is weak.
Faithful when you understand.
And because He was faithful then, we can trust that He is still faithful now.
Your story is not over, your promise is not forgotten. God is still writing. Still moving. Still restoring.
He can bring life into the places you thought were too far gone.
So hold on. Keep trusting. Keep showing up. Keep believing. Keep surrendering.
Because the resurrection still declares what your heart needs to hear:
He is risen. And that means: God is still faithful.
Faithful then.
Faithful now.
Faithful forever.
